Hey, I am a college student in English 1102 at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am a freshmen and majoring in Psychology. I love reading and playing basketball as a hobbie. In English 1102 class, we are talking about language and how language is used in our society. Language can be interpreted in many of variety of ways. I will discussing them through multiple papers. I have tweet but never blog. Its going to be interesting ride.
Theory of Writing
In these class, I didnt think we would be focus on writing. I didnt think much of writing. To me, you pick up a pencil and piece of paer and start to write. I thought writing was focused on grammer only. In this class, I learned thats not all what writing is about. It made me feel a little more confident because i am not good at grammer. Writing is about grammer but also content and audience. I learned key terms just as logos, ethos and pathos. Even though, i used all three of the terms in my paper. I can recongize when i do it in my writings. Pathos is a great tool to use in your paper because it capture the reader audience and they can relate to it. I need to consider the big picture not focus on one specific part because it limits my ability as a writer. I think i write the same for every paper. I might twist it up a bit but overall its the same. I dont think there is bad or a good writing because everybody have their own style of writing. For example, J.K Rowling is the writer of Harry Potter series. It about action and adventure. Stephenie Meyer is the writer of the twilight series. It about love and adventure. They focus on two differents areas but still in the fiction sense. They are great writers, but they have their own sense of style. It doesnt mean twilight bad or Harry Potter bad. It is just different from the normal. My theory of writing broaden my mind to include the whole picture instead of the grammer. To me, the theory of writings is writing based on the content, audience and the grammer. The writer need a good content to persuade and relate to the audience. The grammer helps the writer to progess in their writing.
